Trial Jar

A tall, thin plastic container that holds a sample of the brew (wine or beer) to make it easy to float the hydrometer (available separately) and take the reading.

To use, just scoop some liquid from the brew and pour it into the jar. Put the hydrometer in, and this jar is deep enough for it to float easily. Just take the reading on the hydrometer to determine the progress of the fermentation.
